I sold my first $440 dessert package in my first week of taking orders.

Hi, I'm Maria, the founder of The Sweet Mission. Long before that first $440 order, I wanted a business of my own, something I could run from home, on hours I set myself, that actually turned a profit. I just didn't know where to start.

In the beginning I was undercharging for the amount of work I was putting in. My treats looked the part, but my prices did not match the hours behind them. I also said the wrong things to clients, and I learned how to rescue an order the hard way.

I had based my prices on what everyone around me was charging, not on what my work was worth. I didn't know whether those prices covered the value of my work, or whether there was any profit left in them at all. So I sat down and worked out what a single order actually cost me, the ingredients, the packaging, and the hours I had never once counted. Then I built a menu around those numbers instead of guessing at them. Although my prices went up, the orders kept on coming. Even more than before!

Within a month I had booked a wedding for the following year. From there my orders settled into a consistent $100 to $400+. Through that first summer there were months when treats brought in more than my job did.

If you've ever wanted a business of your own but had no idea where to start, I sat in that exact seat. You're closer to the other side than you think, and I know the way because I got lost on it first. I learned from my mistakes, put the fixes into practice, and it actually worked.

Is this you?

Sending a price and hoping it's right, because you've never added up what the order costs you?

This is not for you if:

  • You already price with confidence and your orders pay you properly
  • You want a list of prices to copy instead of learning to work out your own
  • You'd rather keep the orders you have than change what you charge for them

This is for you if:

  • You want to quote $100 to $400+ orders with confidence and know there is profit in every one
  • You are losing hours to DMs and long kitchen days and want systems that give that time back
  • You want photos and an Instagram page that bring in clients who don't ask for discounts

Here's what you'll walk away with.

What changes for your business.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Do we meet on live calls?

A: Only a few times during the 8 weeks. Most of our work happens through messaging and voice notes. You send me your questions, your quotes, and your photos, and I review them and talk you through the fixes. That way you get feedback you can sit with, you keep every walkthrough to replay any time, and I get to study your business closely before I give you a plan.

Your kitchen is the only classroom you need.

No degree required.

Skip the tuition. Keep the skills.

Maria, the owner of The Sweet Mission, standing in a blue striped shirt with a pen and an open notebook, smiling.

Society teaches us to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a four year degree without a second thought. Then that degree often leads to a rigid schedule, a long commute, and very little freedom.

Yet when it comes to investing in practical skills that build a real business from home, people hesitate.

You do not need a four year degree or a massive online audience to build a profitable treat brand. Compare thousands of dollars on a traditional degree that lands a job paying the same or less than you could earn on your own, and investing in your own business skills starts to look like the obvious choice.

Instead of years of tuition debt, this mentorship is $997, or two payments of $547. You get the same pricing, staging, and positioning systems I use in my own business, so you can build yours on your own terms, from home, around the life you want.

Let's do the math

Every $25 order is draining your bank account.

Before I pivoted my business, I was selling $6 jumbo cookies and $25 single dozens of small treats, spending hours in the kitchen for lunch money payouts.

Here is the math. A $25 order takes almost the same prep time, kitchen cleanup, and energy as a $300 event order. The work stays the same. Only your payout changes.

When you charge $25 for that work, you are leaving up to $275 on the table on every single order. Now picture two orders a week, for a month.

$275×2 orders×4 weeks=$2,200

Same kitchen. Same hours. Same treats. At $25 a dozen, that is $2,200 you miss out on every month. At $300 an order, that $2,200 stays in your pocket instead.

The price of this mentorship is $997. At the prices I teach, just three orders can pay for the whole program.

Who you are

Where you are

Take your last three orders, add them up, and divide by three. If they came to $25, $75, and $200, that is $300 divided by 3, so you would enter 100. If you have not taken an order yet, enter 0.

List everything that is getting in your way, not just one thing.
